A ready-made route for parents who want to show their children the mountains, relax themselves and not waste time on a long search for entertainment.

The scenario contains calm walks, family restaurants, leisure activities with animals, spas and activities that the whole family can do.

On the second day, you can pack in more experiences while maintaining a comfortable pace. This is a day for beautiful views, exotic animals, short walks, and relaxation—something both kids and adults will enjoy.

THINGS TO DO

1. Take the free ride up to Polyana 960 and stroll through the mountain town
2. Meet some furry friends at one of these locations: the Husky Center, the Reindeer Farm, or the “Dacha Alpaca” and “Capybara and Friends” parks
3. Walk along the picturesque “Papornikova” nature trail to the lower station of the “Start Champion” cable car. Along the way, you’ll see a fairy-tale landscape shaped by an abundance of relict ferns
4. While you’re there, stop by the Rope Park and enjoy some active fun with the kids
5. Enjoy lunch with a beautiful panoramic view at The Grill restaurant, located on the 7th floor of the “Novotel Resort & Spa” hotel. It’s the perfect place to take a break from an active day
6. For true connoisseurs, we recommend ending the day with a visit to the “4 Elements” mountain bath complex. You’ll have access to three heated areas (a Russian bath, a sauna, and a hammam), special steam rituals, and a unique setting that creates an unforgettable atmosphere

A full day packed with experiences is best rounded off with warmth and relaxation

Once you’ve gotten used to the resort, you can head higher—to the main viewpoint at an elevation of 2,200 m. It’s best to plan this day with plenty of time so you don’t have to rush the kids and can take your time enjoying the views.

THINGS TO DO

1. Take the whole family up to an altitude of 2,200 meters with your lift tickets
2. Visit the gem of the Krasnaya Polyana Resort—the 360° Panoramic Viewing Platform, which offers views of the main peaks of the Caucasus Range
3. Ride the attractions at “Gorki Fly” Park: the mega-zipline, mountain swings, suspension bridge, or super-trolley
4. Enjoy a hearty lunch at the resort’s highest-altitude restaurant—“Vershina.” The restaurant boasts the highest observation deck among all the resort’s restaurants
5. After lunch, we suggest tackling the via ferrata rock climbing route to reach the resort’s highest point—Black Pyramid Peak at 2,375 m. If you’re not confident in your abilities, you can hike up to Black Pyramid Peak via an easier trail
6. Head back down, relax, sort through your photos, and get ready for the next day

Depending on your preference, you can make this day active or relaxing: some family members can enjoy the views and lunch at the summit, while the more adventurous can add some attractions or a hike to the peak

After a few action-packed days in the mountains, it’s especially nice to change things up and spend a day by the water. A break like this helps children recharge, and gives parents a chance to add some variety to their vacation without any complicated planning.

THINGS TO DO

1. Head to one of the resort’s two beaches on our shuttle. Spend the whole day carefree—swimming, taking leisurely walks, and breathing in the sea air.
2. In the afternoon, we recommend taking the kids to the “Sochi Park” theme park. There, you’ll find 24 rides for all ages and a unique entertainment program every day.

It’s best to keep the last day free: pack your things, take your time leaving, or choose some low-key activities if the family still has the time and energy.

2. Go go-karting, if the kids are up for an active outing
3. Go rollerblading or skateboarding at the “Three Peaks” skating school
4. Wrap up the trip with lunch overlooking the mountains at the “Ptitsy Zakhmeli” brewery-restaurant. It’s a place where both adults and children will feel comfortable: fragrant, frothy beer from their own brewery and a kid-friendly menu
