Rumour has it that time is powerless against two things: Dmitry Malikov’s hair and his talent for remaining relevant across generations. You can find out for yourself on 23 April at the solo concert of the country’s most charming singer. If you were looking for a reason to legally feel nostalgic and lose your voice singing along to “You’re the Only One for Me”, then here it is!

Dmitry Malikov is a rare example of a performer whose musical gift unites generations. Everyone knows his “My Distant Star” by heart, even if they wouldn’t admit it out loud. A man with an impeccable image. And a true professional, ready to deal with any curveball thrown his way. Once, at a concert in Kirov, his backing track failed, so he played the rest of the show on the piano with no accompaniment, wowing the audience. This helped him cement his status as the yardstick by which other live performers are measured.

A People’s Artist of Russia, Dmitry’s multifaceted work includes recording pop hits, complex piano pieces, live shows, and even mentoring a choir. Malikov knows how to reinvent himself: as a thoughtful pianist, a king of the dance floor, and a master of the sing-along. His music makes us feel a little lighter, a little happier. And maybe this is what we all need right now.

Come down to Casino Sochi on 23 April to listen to your favourite hits. The programme starts at 20:30. Admission is free.

Bring your Krasnaya Polyana Gaming Zone guest card and your passport (no photocopies). 18+. The organizers reserve the right to limit admission on the night.
