What do you get when you combine unbridled Caucasian temperament, the sheer force of folk dance, and a driving ethnic beat? The “Power of the Mountains”, that’s what! This is the name given to a special evening that will take place at Boomerang Casino on 19 November. The concert will be headlined by Aidamir Mugu, supported by the Baturay Caucasian dance ensemble and the artist who has taken streaming platforms by storm with his hit – BLIZKEY.
First to take the stage will be Aidamir Mugu, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Adygea and graduate of the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS), whose hit “Chernye Glaza” (“Dark Eyes”) turned the pop industry on its head in 2005. Even today, the song never fails to get the whole room dancing the moment it starts. Aidamir’s setlist on 19 November will include time-tested classics such as “Kapriznaya” (“Capricious Girl”) and “Knyazhna” (“Princess”), as well as his recent hit, “Serdtse Patsana” (“A Boy’s Heart”). Then he will be joined by the Baturay dance ensemble, a team assembled by professional dancers from Maykop which has already toured France and Germany, and performed at Comedy Club TV tapings and the New Wave festival. Aidamir's live vocals and the high-energy performance of the Baturay dancers will create an infectious rhythm for the evening from the very first minutes.
Baturay will then get the stage to themselves, where they will showcase their one-of-a-kind dance show that combines ancient Caucasian traditions with martial arts. Concertgoers will get to see an authentic Caucasian saber duel for a young woman's heart, the lyrical Adyghe dance Zafaku, performed by a couple dancing exclusively on their toes – and an extreme solo act where the dancer wields as many as 30 daggers at the same time. The set will conclude with a drum show. Last to take the microphone will be BLIZKEY with his unmistakable blend of pop, hip-hop, and ethnic motifs from his native culture. His runaway hit “Gory” (“Mountains”) won him the Remix of the Year award from VK Music, surpassing 60 million streams, while the music video for the song has been watched more than 34 million times. BLIZKEY will perform a full live set, featuring the track “AZAMAT”, as well as his recent singles, “RADA” (“Glad”), “Foto na Pamyat” (“Commemorative Photo”) and his latest release, “Gde Leto?” (“Where’s the Summer?”).
